Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026. This site is run by Gerrit Halfmann (contact). The short version: the site sets no tracking cookies, builds no user profiles, and stores personal data only when you buy a license or subscribe to release emails.

What the site does not do

No advertising networks, no cross-site tracking, no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The dark mode setting is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

Analytics

Page views and a few custom events (for example a search with no results, or a click on the Pro button) are counted with Simple Analytics, a privacy-first service based in the Netherlands. It uses no cookies and no fingerprinting, and it stores no IP addresses. The data is aggregated: which pages are visited, which countries, which referrers, which search terms found no icon.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the pages and to block abuse. See the Netlify privacy policy.

Purchases and license keys

Pro licenses are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad handles payment, invoices and your order email under the Gumroad privacy policy. This site never sees your payment details. When you enter a license key on the download page, the key is sent to Gumroad for verification and is not stored here. The download link you receive is a signed, short-lived token.

Release newsletter

If you subscribe to release updates, your email address is stored through Netlify Forms and used for one purpose: one short email per icon release. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Write to halfmage@gmail.com to have the address deleted at any time.

Embedded content

The free cursors page embeds a post from X (Twitter) with the do-not-track option enabled. Loading that page makes your browser request the embed from X, which can log the request under the X privacy policy. No other page loads third-party embeds.

Your rights

You can ask what data is held about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion. Email halfmage@gmail.com. Since the site holds almost nothing, the answer is usually quick.
