About the Git Fork icon
Three circles joined by lines, where one line splits into two, the symbol for a repository fork. Use it for a 'Fork' button on a repository page, a fork count badge, or a contribution guide that explains forking. It differs from a branch, which stays inside the same repository. For branching, git-branch is the expected icon.
